Establish what gaps are in service and add
additional service providers as defined through
the survey. Review necessary training needed to
increase assistance to ex-offenders.
Identify employers with job opportunities
willingness to hire offenders. Determine the
capacity of employers to handle the large numbers
of those released. Coordinate efforts with the
Transitional Work Model.
Define the role of the faith based community, and
identify willing participants to carry out
services to offenders both prior to release and
after.
Working as an ad hoc committee of the Md. Justice
Coalition to coordinate legislative activities
which assist the inmate and ex-offender
population.
Investigate steps for creating additional
transitional housing, and developing set criteria
for providers of transitional housing.
Plan and develop a model that coordinates and
provides services and job opportunities for
ex-offenders and inmates prior to release.
