  • 16 Instructors taught 14 sections in Fall Quarter
    2004.
  • 132 students attended orientation.
  • 100 students began courses.
  • 52 students met the goal they stated when they
    enrolled.

ORIENTATION OVERVIEW
  • All courses began with a student orientation as a
    specific part of the course.
  • Orientation varied from 1 to 3 hours.
  • Twelve classes held group orientation one
    offered individual orientation.
  • Some instructors offered additional orientation
    sessions during the quarter.
  • In one instance, if students needed to take the
    CASAS test, the orientation lasted an additional
    hour.
  • In one course, students had already attended an
    information session and taken the CASAS test.

STUDENT POST-EVALUATION SURVEY

    students reported high levels of satisfaction
    with the course.
