Evolution of the Database Projects

• Core information in Access (detail page).
• Categories now match task structure.
• All FY04 projects should have a Task Number
  (chargeable for effort).
• Need estimated start and end dates.
• URLs of information which changes frequently
  (form).

Integration of projects and effort reporting

• Derive projects list from projects database.
• Necessitates that the projects database conform
  to the CD task profile.
• Each project would need an associated task number
  chargeable to effort.
• Goal is to have 100 of CD effort charged to
  appropriate effort task numbers.

• Link project descriptions to budget reports
  (Crystal Reports).
• Do we need to include equipment task numbers in
  projects database?
• Be able to associate core projects data (begin
  and end dates, stakeholders, etc.) with budget
  numbers.

Storing Documents

• Reports which are now stored in many folders on
  our web server will soon be stored in DocDB.
• Easier to search.
• Integrated with other CD documents and
  presentations.
• Presenters can submit their own documents!
