General Update

• After a long and bumpy road, theres finally
  light at the end of the fiber
• We have finalized re-negotiations with Verizon
  and have worked out the T Cs of an greatly
  improved network infrastructure
• We will be saving nearly 2M
• Superior technology architecture (OC-192)
• Still on track for a summer implementation

New Verizon National Backbone

• Called NIPS - Network Internet Protocol Service
• Delays presented the opportunity for NJEDge.Net
  to be an early customer
• Service provides a statewide Virtual Private
  Network for the membership communities of
  interest
• We are in the process of connecting the 1st group
  of schools in the North Jersey LATA

Enhancements to Video Services

• Sophisticated conference scheduling capabilities
• Streaming video capabilities
• Expanded MCU port capacity
• Improved interoperability with Access New Jersey
• Free MPEG2 or H.323 codec for all current IDLS
  subscribers
• Access to the satellite uplink/downlink at
  William Paterson University for broadband
  subscribers
• Planning underway to become an Internet2 SEGP
