Anonymity

• The System Shall
• Provide secrecy for the persons voting.
• There should be no links between the voter and
  the vote.

Security

• The System Shall
• Have a secure ballot box.
• Be able to verify the student as a student.
• Provide the voter with a record showing polling
  place, ballot number, and candidates chosen
  before they have left their polling place.
• In order to ensure the integrity of the audit
  trail, the voting system will allow only the SQL
  statements INSERT and SELECT to be processed
  against the vote database.

Accessibility

• The System Shall
• Be easily accessible
• Have at least one site
• Be available at decent hours
• Would be nice to have
• Remote access
• Multiple voting stations
• Accessible at any time

• Verify and confirm vote within two seconds
• Make it easy for the voter to vote for the
  candidates of their choice without confusion or
  misdirection
• Be transparent and shall give the voters
  assurance that their votes are being counted and
  counted correctly and that no fraud is taking
  place.

Use of Administration

• The System Shall
• Be easily accessable for the administrator
• Completely separate administrators responsible
  for the electronic voting system as well as the
  manual voting system.

Summary Report

• The System Shall
• Post results on the web
• Send certified results to the elections
  supervisor
• Provide the voter the ability to go on-line and
  see that their vote was included in the overall
  tally.
• Would be nice to have
• A running total of the votes shown on the web
