1. I understand that the school network belongs
to Chesterfield County Public Schools and is
designed for educational purposes.

2. I will use the computer hardware, software,
and network only for authorized educational
purposes.

3. I will abide by the rule that no hardware,
software, diskette, or software documentation
will be removed from the computer lab, classroom
or media center.

4. I will abide by normal classroom procedures
when using computers.

5. I will use all computer hardware and software
with proper care.

6. I will use only authorized software on any
school computer.

7. I will use computer hardware and software
only with proper instruction and adult
supervision.

8. I will report any hardware or software
malfunction to the instructor during the class
period in which it is noted.

9. I will neither give nor receive unauthorized
assistance relating to hardware, software, or
class work from a fellow student unless
instructed to do so.

10. I will not copy any software used in this
school nor will I install any software on the
computers.

11. I will NOT copy other students' files.

12. I will not share my password nor will I use
another person's password to access their account.

13. I agree that I will be responsible for any
damage to computer hardware, software or network
I cause or fail to report.

14. I understand that I am responsible for
cleaning my work area at the end of the work
session.

15. I will abide by the rule that no food or
drink is permitted near any computer.
17
16. I will respect the rights of other
individuals while communicating or working with
them.
18
17. I will not use obscene or unacceptable
written language at any time.

18. I understand that any violation of this Code
of Ethics will result in disciplinary action as
determined by the supervising teacher, Network
Administrator and/or the Administration. This
could include, but is not limited to, suspension
from school.
