    not at all

What do we do?
  • Ensure that pupils are placed in appropriate
    course (based on assessment in S2)
  • Set realistic targets for pupils, based on pupils
    prior attainment in S1/2
  • Make sure pupils are ontrack
  • Inform you of any concerns

How do we decide?
  • Pupils who have attained level E in P7 begin Int
    1 course in S2 moving to Int 2 by Feb/Mar
  • Pupils who attain level E by Dec in S2 begin Int
    1 moving to Int 2 by S3
  • Pupils who complete level E by end of S2 begin
    Int 1 in s3

  • Pupil is given every chance to succeed at highest
    possible level
  • When child is not successful, discussions with
    child, PT, Year head and parents take place to
    ensure that there is little chance of no overall
    award
