National Reading Promotion Programme

• It aims to create and consolidate good reading
  habits among the Portuguese, with particular
  focus on children and young people.
• The programme organises projects and special
  activities to promote books, authors and
  incentives to read throughout Portugal (500
  projects in 2008) in partnership with Public
  Libraries Network.
• This programme is part of Plano Nacional de
  Leitura (PNL) National Reading Plan.
