  • SWEBOK evolution will use consensus processes in
    workshops and balloting.
  • Information Assurance Standards Committee (IASC),
Jack Cole, will use a workshop process.

4
Broaden the international impact of Computer
Society standards
  • IEEE CS SESC and ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 have agreed on
procedures and a vision of outcomes for
harmonizing their collections of software and
    systems engineering standards.
  • SESC collection is also being harmonized with
    SWEBOK, CSDP, and training material.
  • A goal now within our reach A single
authoritative body of knowledge for software
engineering represented in SWEBOK, CSDP, IEEE
    standards, international standards, curriculum,
    training materials, and publications (e.g.
    software engineering portal, software engineering
    book series, translations of SWEBOK).
  • IEEE-SA is pursuing Category A liaison with JTC1,
but has not involved the Computer Society.

5

    areas of dissatisfaction.
  • CS Bylaws and Procedures re SAB are being

  • September SAB workshop identified areas where SAB
might step aside from the path between
    standards sponsors and IEEE-SA.
