Title: Our journey continues
1Our journey continues
- With a reflection on the past
- In your notebook, please write a response to each
of the scenarios below - Mrs. Smith cannot understand why her second grade
son cannot skip third grade. After all, she
says, your own test scores show hes reading and
doing math at a fifth grade level. How do you
diplomatically respond to Mrs. Smith as to why
her son may not really be ready for fifth-grade
reading and math? - Linda Jones is a new teacher just out of college.
Parent conferences are around the corner and she
wants to give the parents a clear picture of
their childs achievement using standardized test
scores. Further, she plans to use the scale
score, not grade or age equivalents or
percentiles. As a seasoned veteran, what advice
would you give to Linda?
