- Pay raise of every service member by between 5-6
- TRICARE for Guardsmen
- Congress directed a study of health care coverage
of members of the Selected Reserve and to report
on cost effective options for providing health
care benefits to members of the National Guard
Reserve and their families. Due to Congress May
1, 2002. - Payment of FEHBP premiums for National Guardsmen
called to active duty - Authorized federal agencies to pay both the
employee and government contributions to the
Federal Employee Health Benefits Program for
federal employees called to active duty for more
than 30 days - Commissary Benefits
- New members of the National Guard shall be
provided with commissary benefits upon
satisfactory completion of first training weekend

- MILCON Huge Victory!!! The Presidents Budget
request increased 6 fold for the ARNG and a 4
fold increase for the ANG!!! - ARNG - 405.6 million (124 million above 01
funding) - ANG - 253.4 million (50 million above 01
funding) - 32 states received one of their top priority
projects listed in the NGAUS Legislative
Priorities. - WMD - An additional 35 million was appropriated
to fully train and equip the remaining 22 Civil
Support Teams. - Youth ChalleNGe removed the restrictive cap of
defense related monies to be expended on the
ChalleNGe program
