    for sadness but a reminder that death is not the
    end

  • In most Churches there is a short service either
    at a Church or Crematorium

  • A passage from the bible is read, it is usually
    chosen to emphasise the hope of eternal life

  • Prayers are said asking for the comfort for the
    relatives and friends and giving thanks for the
    life of the person who has died.

    the person to remember his or her personality
    and achievements.

    about resurrection, or one which reminds the
    congregation of the presence of God in times of

  • A cremation is where the body is burned and the
    ashes can either be buried and represented by a
    tree or given to relatives in an urn

  • When the funeral is over those who have attended
    the service often go back to the house of the
    closest relatives for refreshments and a chance
    to give their sympathy
