Soaring Lessons

• But the LORD watches over those who fear him,
  those who rely on his unfailing love. Ps. 3318

Hard to Understand

• God is above and beyond us, and we will never
  fully understand His ways this side of heaven.
• For our God is in the heavens, and he does as he

  understand them.

Battle Storms

• We ask Why?
• I pour out my complaints before him and tell him
  all my troubles. Ps. 1422
• We ask for the storm to stop!
• He went on a little farther and fell face down on
  the ground, praying, My Father! If it is
  possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away
  from me.... Mt. 2639

• We worry that God has forsaken us.
• At about three oclock, Jesus called out with a
  loud voice, Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani? which
  means, My God, my God, why have you forsaken
  me?
• If only I knew where to find God, I would go to

BIG Picture

• Storms produce a harvest of right living.
• No discipline is enjoyable while it is
  happeningit is painful! But afterward there will
  be a quiet harvest of right living for those who
  are trained in this way. Heb. 1211

Lessons Learned

• Think forward about how you will be stronger
  (more like Jesus) when youve gotten through your
  storm.
• The eaglet cannot fall faster than his father can
  fly.
• We WILL often understand whythough it may take a
  long time to decipher.
• Learn to take the winds of adversity and turn
  them into the winds of opportunity.
• Your loving heavenly Father will never leave you
  nor forsake you.
