• The DepthQ Mobile 3D visualization suite is a
  self-contained 3D solution for monitoring,
  recording and playback of all Intuitive Surgical
  da Vinci, da Vinci S
• and da Vinci S HD Surgical Systems.
• DepthQ Mobile combines high-definition
  stereoscopic imaging with the simplicity and
  portability of a pop-up rolling roadcase.
  Simply press a button and the 3D monitor,
  computer, and storage drawers rise from the
  case on an internal lift. Monitor height is
  adjustable for optimized viewing whether
  standing or seated.
• The system is then quickly collapsed again for
• convenient transport.

• This state-of-the-art stereoscopic display device
  provides high-resolution, flicker-free,
  progressive 120 Hz 3D imaging.

• Full HD 1920x1080p resolution in 2D 1
  megapixel resolution per eye in 3D.
• Cinema Smooth technology provides accurate
  shading and better low-light detail, with no
  visible pixel structure.
• Digital Natural Image engine provides five image
  processors and a six-times density enhancer to
  deliver the sharpest and clearest images
  possible.

Active Stereo How It Works

• Images are presented only to the appropriate eye
  using active stereo

• Lightweight (1.6 ounce), state-of-the-art liquid
  crystal (LC) shutter glasses are used to create
  the stereo effect.
• Lightspeeds DepthQ software delivers
  specially-encoded left and right images at 60
  frames per second from the computer.
• The 3D monitor decodes and displays the left and
  right images progressively (time-interleaved) and
  at 120 refreshes per second for flicker-free
  viewing.
• The glasses are synchronized with this stream via
  infra-red signals and block images so that the
  right eye only sees the right image and the left
  eye only sees the left.

DepthQ Mobile 3D Format Details

• The DLP HDTV 3D Image Format
• 3D stereoscopic video content is sent to the 3D
  Monitor digitally, through an HDMI port. Left
  and right stereo images are first independently
  filtered by DepthQ software, and sampled into an
  offset grid pattern.

• The resulting views are then combined, and appear
  as a left and right checkerboard pattern in a
  conventional sampled image.
• This format substantially preserves the
  horizontal and vertical resolution of the left
