Key features of the National Numeracy Strategy
  • The Strategy involves
  • 1. A structured, daily mathematics lesson of
    45-60 minutes, depending on childrens ages,
    with minor adaptations in some Reception classes.
  • 2. An emphasis on mental calculation with oral
    and mental work in each lesson.
