Strategy for enhancement of crop production and
productivity

• Promotion of High Yielding Varieties

  pesticides through enhanced facility for
  testing
• Strengthening and integration of existing
  extension system.

  Mass media (e) Kisan call centre
• 5735 calls from farmers were received during
  05-06 upto Dec.2005. Making Kisan Call Centre
  more accessible to farmers, regional centre of
  KCC may be shifted to Patna from Kolkata.
• 40,000 Kisan Diary 3 lakh pamphlets on latest
  package of practices of important crops have
  been distributed in all the panchayats of the
  state. More Kisan dairy will be distributed in
  coming months.

  seed minikits, package of practises of crops)
  have been included in Hon'ble Chief Minister
  campaign Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar specially
  organized in the naxal affected districts.

Status of task force

• As suggested by Government of India, task force
  has been constituted under the chairmanship of
  Agriculture Production Commissioner.

  input suppliers is made.
