SAUSD Secondary Goals

Saturday Academy of Math
  • Program Goals
  • Increase students CST scores in pre-algebra by

  • 8 week program offered at all intermediate
    schools on Saturday mornings
  • Interactive curriculum utilizing manipulatives
    and inquiry based instruction
  • 7th grade pre-algebra and 8th grade algebra
    students involved

Saturday Academy of Law
  • Program Goals
  • To develop the critical reading/writing and
    speaking skills that prepare students for higher
    education and professional success to create
    excitement and knowledge about the field of law
  • Program Overview
  • Six week program for 9th grade SAUSD students
    held at Santa Ana
  • College
  • Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and
    enrolled in algebra or higher
  • level math
  • 85 students currently participating from all
    comprehensive high schools as
  • well as Middle College
