• RFID Definition
• Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an
  automatic identification method, relying on
  storing and remotely retrieving data using
  devices called RFID tags or transponders.

• In 1946 Léon Theremin invented an espionage tool
  for the Soviet Union
• RFID tags are passive, active, and semi-passive
• Requires no internal power supply, the antenna
  from the rfid tag picks up power from the
  transmitter

• Data capacity for each R.F.I.D. is big enough so
  each R.F.I.D. code will have its own unique
  identify
• unlike barcodes which are the codes are the same
  for each product.
• an R.F.I.D. tag can store 2kb of data

  warehouses, etc.
