2Background
- The Performance Accountability Report (PAR) is a
reporting requirement that is mandated by the
state of Maryland and implemented by the Maryland
Higher Education Commission (Commission). - This requirement incorporates a five-year
reporting cycle in which the College examines
four years of trend data on measures of
institutional effectiveness and sets goals or
benchmarks it will strive to achieve on each of
the measures within five years. - The purpose of this requirement is to provide
information and data to the Commission in its
role of informing the Maryland legislature about
the outcomes of community colleges.
