Location of Adjectives

• Adjectives can be of two main types limiting or
  descriptive.
• Limiting adjectives normally go before the noun.
• Descriptive adjective normally go after the noun.

Limiting Adjectives

• Place limiting adjectives before the noun.
• Dos perros
• La casa
• Muchos estudiantes
• Algunos chicos
• Unos amigos

Descriptive Adjectives

• Place descriptive adjectives after the noun
  (normally).
• La casa roja
• Las clases interesantes
• El hombre alto
• Los profesores estrictos

• Two descriptive adjectives must be joined by y
  (or e).
• La casa grande y roja
• Las clases nuevas e interesantes
• El hombre alto y moreno

• If more than two descriptive adjectives are used,
  the final two must be joined by y (or e).
• La casa vieja, grande y roja
• Las clases avanzadas, nuevas e interesantes

  are placed before the noun versus after the noun.

  advanced age.)
