4Ofsted report Harris Federation Post 16 Grade
1 Outstanding The effectiveness of the academys
sixth form is excellent. Students speak with
feeling about the significance of the positive
relationships they have with staff. They greatly
appreciate the time given to helping them resolve
problems, improve their work and organise their
studies.

Leadership Curriculum Excellent leadership
co-ordinates provision and support for students
and expands their horizons through opportunities
provided by the Federation. The curriculum, an
outstanding feature of the sixth form, offers an
impressive range of courses at different levels,
including applied courses linked to the Academys
specialisms.

an excellent programme of enrichment activities.
They enjoy taking advantage of the opportunities
offered by the Federation and say they feel at
home in all three Academies because the Harris
feeling pervades. Students rapidly growing
confidence and rising aspirations are testament

7Standards Dress Code - wear professional style
attire, jacket, trousers, skirt, blouses/shirt
and tie. Attendance and punctuality - You will
be expected to attend regularly each day and be
punctual for every lesson. Code of Conduct -
You will be the role models for the younger
students at which ever institution you will be
working at. Ultimately, you will be expected to
work towards achieving the best possible results
you can.
8- Rewards
- Vivo Miles. Collect points to buy items such as
top up cards, computer games etc. The more points
you earn the more entries you gain into the
annual draws where you can win prizes, including
an i-pod! - These are given out at tutors and subject
teachers discretion - Examples
- Meeting target grade for a piece of work
- Meeting all deadlines in a half-term.
- Half termly prizes. Students are nominated by
their teachers. For example, this can be for
excellent progress or contribution to lessons
9- Student Support
- There is a very supportive and positive
relationship between staff and Post 16 students
at Harris - Extra revision sessions are put on, not just
before exams but throughout the year as well,
including the holidays - Study support is an established support system,
where students can be monitored closely by staff. - Students are graded by their teachers 4 times a
year, so they can get an up to date picture of
how they are progressing.
