Metals come from rocks which are mixed in with
the Earths crust. Most metals are found as metal
ores. An ore is a rock which contains a
substantial amount of a metal compound. Some
metals (which ones?) are found uncombined in
nature, this is because they are unreactive.
They are known as native metals.
For example Gold and Silver.
Haematite Iron ore mostly made of iron oxide
Bauxite Aluminium ore mostly made of aluminium
oxide
Malachite Copper ore

Why Are Some Metals Found Pure?
