25
Modification - Exclusive bands
ST61 Plan
  • Consult affected administrations
  • Distances from the stations to the nearest points
    of the boundaries
  • Provide proposed technical characteristics so
that affected administration can assess the
    probability of harmful interference
  • Affected administrations to reply within ten
    weeks
  • If not, notifying administration will send a
    reminder

26
Modification - Exclusive bands (2)
ST61 Plan
  • Affected administrations to reply within two (2)
    weeks
  • If not, considered to have agreed to the proposed
    change
  • No agreement is reached, BR may be requested to
    make technical examination and inform
    administrations of the results

27
Modification - Exclusive bands (3)
ST61 Plan
  • Modifications without consulting if
  • Reduction in power or changes that would reduce
    the probability of harmful interference
  • OR
  • Distances to nearest points of the boundaries are
equal or greater than the coordination distance
    limits

28
Modification - Exclusive bands (4)
ST61 Plan
  • Notifying administration informs BR
  • Proposed modifications
  • Names of administrations consulted, where
    appropriate.

3. Why are there time-limits for comments on
proposed modifications?
  • To permit all other possibly affected
administrations to verify impact of the new
    station on their operations.
  • ST61 time-limits.
  • GE84 and GE89 time-limits.
  • GE75 time-limits.
