CONCLUSIONS AND THE FUTURE
The beta-beam concept is a novel method to
produce pure, collimated and intense high energy
neutrino beams by boosting radioactive ions. The
beta-beam scenario uses CERN infrastructures and
relies on existing technology.
A rich physics program for neutrino physics and
astrophysics would be addressed by sending
beta-beams to a Megaton detector located at 130
km, in the underground Frejus laboratory.
The feasibility study will be pursued in the
future in the context of the BENE network for
the high energy part.
Synergy with other communities for the proton
driver, ion Production and first acceleration
steps (EURISOL).
