3Warrior Ethos
- We aim to win wars
- In order to do this we must build leaders who are
- physically and mentally tough,
- technically and tactically proficient and
- strategically and operationally adaptive
- in a combat environment.
4Ethos - Defined
- The disposition, character, or fundamental values
peculiar to a specific person, people, culture,
or movement
5Warrior Ethos is
- The foundation for the American Soldiers total
commitment to victory in peace and war. While
exemplifying Army Values, Soldiers who live the
Warrior Ethos put the mission first, refuse to
accept defeat, never quit, and never leave a
fallen comrade. They have absolute faith in
themselves and their team.

and destroy the enemies of the United States in
close combat.
