Step1

• Remove Interface Mount Assembly
• Remove top cover of Vacuum Jacket
• Remove top cover of Radiation Shield
• Remove Top Baffle Tube
• Equals Situation at right

• Remove Cold Structure Top Cover
• Equals Situation at right
• Remove 4 Screws as shown in this slide. They hold
  the Dichroic rotator housing in place

Remove 4 Screws S.H.C 4-40 (Outer ones)

Step3

• Add the green, new part to the assembly
  (immobilizing spacer)
• Note The thickness of the Spacer was established
  using on hand documentation. Washers may have to
  be used, or the thickness reduced.
• Next Transfer holes using Drill Fixuture to Cold
  Structure Top Cover (next slide)

Drilling Holes using Drill Fixture

• Install Drill Fixture to Cold Structure Top
  Cover Note this is done outside of instrument to
  prevent contamination of Dewar
• Boss on bottom of Drill Fixture serves as a
  locater along with the 4 holes around it (next
  slide)
• Use outer or inner for holes to secure Drill
  Fixture to Cold Structure Top Cover.

Drill Fixture in Place

• Drill Clearance hole for 4-40 (.112 inch
  diameter). May have to be opened up depending on
  adjustment needed to line up the Dichroic
• Replace Cold Structure Top Cover

Transfer 4 holes To Cold Structure Top Cover
Secure Fixture Using 4 screws

Reassembly

• 1)Reassemble in reverse order
