Position / Vision
  • FNF Position / Vision for eRecording
  • Fidelity National Financial is committed to
    prompting and implementing technology that
    further facilitates reliable, efficient, and
    secure real estate transactions.
  • eRecording technology as well as other
    e-initiatives, such as eSigning and eClosing, are
    areas that Fidelity National Financial is
    actively perusing and areas that we see as
    strategic to the future of our business.
  • FNF anticipates significant movement in the areas
    of eRecording in the next 12 to 18 months and is
    working to make sure that FNF operations in all
    states (where allowed) can take advantage of
    eRecording.

eRecording / eClosing
  • FNF Participation
  • FNF has participated in eRecording pilots and
    production eRecording initiatives. (Arizona,
    California, Florida, Texas, Virginia and
    Washington).
  • FNF Operations in Orange County, CA have been
    working with eRecording the late 1990s and now
    use eRecording as a standard business practice.
  • Multiple venders, systems, and models (Internal,
    Licensed, Outsourced)

eRecording / eClosing
  • FNF Participation
  • Since 2001 FNF has participated in several pilots
    projects regarding eSignatures/ eClosings
    solutions.
  • The most recent was the Chicago Title
    participation in an eClosing pilot in Illinois
    that resulted in the first electronic note to be
    registered in the MERS eRegistry.
  • FNF has several eSigning / eClosing initiatives
    currently underway working to identify when,
    where, and how this technology can be securely
    implemented in ways that positively impact
    business and create significant efficiencies.

    equation when individual state standards and
    regulations create state specific rules that
    inhibit leveraging other implementations and
    development efforts.
