ACROSTIC POETRY
An acrostic poem is a poem about someone or
something. However, in this type of poetry we
use the letters that spell out that person/thing
in order to write out poem. For example, if we
were writing about a cat, we would use the
letters C, A, and T.
You begin each part of the poem with one of the
letters. For the letter C I might say
C-unningly creeps around stalking its prey.
For A I might say, A-lways there for comfort
when you need it. etc..
Lets see how this would work with my name. . .

Try it out!
Write two acrostic poems. One should use your
own name and the other can be about whatever you
choose! You may use the front and back of the
same paper. Remember to use the letters of the
name/thing your are talking about.
