  • School leaders provide clear educational
    direction for the school and leadership The
    governing body is well informed, involved in
    monitoring and evaluation the work of the school
    and has a clear view about the schools strengths
    and areas for development.
  • There is effective delegation and distribution of
    leadership responsibilities and it is supportive
    with a strong focus on raising standards
  • Each member of the leadership team is responsible
    for specific areas for improvement
  • The school has an annual cycle of self review
    that leads to a detailed school development plan
    which is fully costed and resourced

Improving Achievement

  • To develop and improve achievement in our school
  • Ensure that all pupils through KS1 meet their
    challenging targets in English and Maths
  • To address under achievement of pupils in KS2 in
    English and Maths and address areas for
    development in LKS2
  • To raise expectations for more able pupils
    throughout the school.
  • Success Criteria
  • Well planned monitoring and support takes place
    and through feedback to teachers has an impact on
    the progress that pupils make and results in
    lessons
  • Termly analysis of assessment shows that
    achievement of all pupils is good (OFSTED
    criteria)
  • All children understand their learning needs
    including where they are in their learning and
    what they need to do next to make good progress.

Summary
  • A good year in terms of results and progress
    still lots to do
  • We know the areas on which we need to focus in
    order to improve
  • Good academic results, excellent performances
    both in sporting arena and in music
  • Thanks to the teaching staff for the energy and
    commitment shown at all times
  • Thanks to Governors who equally put personal time
    and effort into helping Pannal Primary School
    improve its educational experience
