Aircraft Engine Committee Session
  • Thursday, May 11, 2006 1100am - 0100pm
  • Session Chair Mark G. Turner, University of
    Cincinnati
  • Session Co-chair Steven Gorrell, Air Force
    Research Laboratory

The status and direction of High-Fidelity Engine
Simulations will be discussed by the panel of
experts below. A collaborative effort has
recently demonstrated a full engine simulation at
a takeoff condition for a turbofan engine. New
collaborations are starting for simulating more
advanced engines over the entire flight envelope.
See what the vision is for virtual engine test
cells, including the technical, funding and
cultural challenges.
