2What is Naviance?
Naviance is...
a program provided by our school district. It is
a management system for all students to create,
organize and save many types of documents and job
or university applications, along with seeing
posted notices about updated university and
career news. They can explore their personality
type, career interests, and post-high school
educational opportunities including colleges and
trade or technical schools.
3 Naviance is (continued)
For College-bound students, Naviance streamlines
the entire application process from selecting
campuses to sending applications and applying for
scholarships. Parents/guardians can use Naviance
to review their students college selections and
the application process.
4 Naviance is (continued)
This program was designed with the ability for
schools to personalize the content to meet their
own school requirements. Our schools Portfolio
Committee voted to use this tool for the
Portfolio requirements for 9th through 12th grade
students. For the 12th graders this year, during
their Senior Exhibition, they will show the panel
what they have accomplished concerning their
requirements in the Naviance program. They will
also present a 3-ring binder with past choice
works from their previous grades.
