- Part-time Solenoid Subsystem Manager support
Ongoing - Tracker RD at Houston and UCI Ongoing
- Calorimeter RD at NYU Ongoing
- Cosmic Ray Shield RD at William Mary Ongoing
- Interim base support for Houston and William
Mary Ongoing - Water-cooled target studies at UCI Ongoing
- Antiproton window and vacuum design studies at
BNL - Ongoing - Full-time Project Manager support Ongoing
- Internal Reviews None since the last meeting
3Money Status
- We have received spending authority for the final
year of three year 1.5M original grant - We will commence the second and final year of
600k grant in June - Our original one year proposal and a revised two
year proposal remain in limbo at NSF as MPS seeks
additional funds to direct to RSVP this year - Possible help from Congress, requested budgets
- Minimal life support and two steadily better
cases for FY06 start - Ditto for FY05 start
- Single RSVP request from PI to Deena Baron by
second week in June - Meeting with KOPIO tomorrow to finalize numbers

6Reference Design
- The original document has been split into
separate pieces along WBS lines. - Several are available publicly on the MECO site
now - MECO Standard Coordinate System
- WBS 1.3.2 - Heat and Radiation Shield Reference
Design - MIT's MECO Solenoid System Conceptual Design
Report - WBS 1.5.1 - Muon Beamline Vacuum System Reference
Design - WBS 1.5.2 - Collimator Reference Design
- WBS 1.5.6 - Muon Beam Stop Reference Design
- WBS 1.5.5 1.5.8 - Detector Shields and Absorber
Reference Design - WBS 1.5.7 - Anti-Proton Stopping Window Design
Report - More will follow in June as they form the basis
of the interface control documents for the RFP
