Attendance and Tardiness

• Upon returning to school, your child must have a
  dated note stating reason for absence. Otherwise,
  the absence will be marked unexcused.
• Arrival after 930 will be marked as an absence.
• Students arriving after 805 must report to
  office to receive a tardy slip before entering
  classroom.

Title 1

• Title 1 is a federal program designed to provide
  assistance to students in the areas of language
  arts, reading, and mathematics. CISD has a
  send-in assistant placed in the classroom to work
  under the supervision of the foundation.

Lunch Payment

• Lunches are 1.25 a day
• Breakfast is .75 a day
• Adult lunches are 2.50 a day
• Please place money in a labeled envelope and give
  to staff at the computer in the cafeteria.

Classroom Party Information

• Parties are as follows
• Halloween, Oct. 30th
• Christmas, Dec. 18st
• Valentines, Feb. 12th
• Party dues are 3.00
• Birthday parties are allowed. However,
  invitations must not be passed out at school
  unless the whole class is invited.

Nutritious Snack Options

• Kindergarten students will receive one nutritious
  snack a day on a parent volunteer basis.
• A nutritious snack list has been provided.

Playground Rules

• Rules will be posted on the playground.

Homework Folders

• A folder will come home daily. Please check
  calendar inside for important upcoming events.
• Please review and empty folder contents each
  night.
• Please initial daily for parent teacher
  communications.

Conference Time

• My conference time is 145-230 daily.

Volunteering

• Volunteers are welcome in my classroom .
• To volunteer, a criminal history form must be
  completed and returned to school office for
  approval.
• Let me know if you are interested!

Bus Procedures

• If your child will not be riding the bus on any
  given day, they must bring a note or call the
  school office before 245.
• If we do not receive a note, your child WILL BE
  placed on the bus.

Arrival and Dismissal

• Students prior to 755 MUST report to the gym
  before school.
• Dismissal is at 300 p.m. on the northwest side
  of the school under the pavilion.
• In case of bad weather, you may pick up your
  child from the classroom at 300 p.m.
