• What is UMAP
• UMAP is the acronym for the Organization called
  University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific.
• It is a voluntary association of government and
  non-government representatives of higher
  education sector in the region.

UMAP general aim

• To achieve a better understanding within each
  of the countries and territories in Asia and the
  Pacific region of the cultural, economic and
  social systems of other countries and territories
  in the region.

Goal

• Goal is to increase the exchange of university
  students and staff through cooperation among
  countries and territories in Asia and the Pacific
  region.

UMAP concentrates on short term exchange

• Short term at most one year
• Credits are to be transferred
• to home institute.

UCTS Development

• UCTS The UMAP Credit
• Transfer Scheme
• Establish the system in home institution so
  that students can go abroad (sending and
  receiving) without spending another year to
  graduate

Main Objective of UCTS

• Main objective of UCTS should be
• transparency.
• Student, home and host institution sign off on
  exchange study arrangements before exchange
• and sign off on study experience after exchange

USCOUMAP Student Connection Online

• Key objective To create the web-application
  program to be and effective tool in aiding the
  process of communication between home host
  universities for UMAP student exchange, and to
  facilitate the use of UMAP Credit Transfer Scheme
  (UCTS) as the credit and grade conversion scale
  between host and home universities
