Title: Magnetic in vitro removal of sperm cells containing anti-sperm
1Magnetic in vitro removal of sperm cells
containing anti-sperm antibodies from the semen
of infertile males (Margel et al 1997)
3D-Array of magnetic Ni-Al2O3 microspheres of 47
µm diameter (Weijia Wen et al, J Mater Res 14,
1186, 1999)
Fourth International Conference on the Scientific
and Clinical Applications of Magnetic
Carriers May 9-11, 2002 Tallahassee, Florida,
U.S.A.
This meeting is devoted exclusively to the
preparation, analysis, use and application of
magnetic microspheres in basic and clinical
research. Topics to be covered include the
preparation and characterization of magnetic
particles and ferrofluids, and their application
in molecular and cell biology as diagnostic
agents, for extractions, in biomedicine and for
cell separations. Emphasis is also placed on
clinical applications including magnetic fluid
hyperthermia, MR imaging, nuclear medicine,
cancer treatment, magnetic drug delivery,
artificial organs and magnetic blood
detoxification.
