30 BC The emergence of Bonn
13-9 BC Bonn was named Bonnburg
9.century The Normannen devastated the country
in and "Bonnburg" were left.
1597 Bonn was officially capital and residence
for the electorate of Cologne.
1689 Bonn survived the Thirty Years War intact,
but was almost completely destroyed during the
War of the League of Augsburg
Max Franz von Habsburg founded the first
university in Bonn
1848 The Industrialisation passed Bonn
1904 From 1904 the city grew by incorporating
the surrounding towns and villages
Word War 2 Much of Bonn's inner city was
destroyed by aerial bombing
