Textline Object (since 4.0ß 12)

• Adds the ability to indicate word breaks and
  occluded characters to an oriented text box.

O Shape (since 4.0ß 9)

• Shape used for describing head and shoulders
  together.
• Shoulder line can be moved independently of
  ellipse (since 4.0ß 13).

Scripting Menu (since 4.0ß 7)

• An easy method of extending ViPER
• Checks a user directory (/.viper/scripts) for
  executable files or Groovy scripts (since beta
  10).
• Adds to Scripts menu in ViPER-GT
• Running the item invokes the program, passes it
  the media file and reads in ground truth data.
• Example uses include shot detection and key frame
  extraction, adding non-intelligent metadata,
  tracking, c.
• Currently Add I-Frame Descriptor, Mark
  Unselected Frames as Invalid

Play When Valid (since 4.0a 7)

• Only play frames where descriptor or attribute
  exists.
• Possible enhancement only play where descriptor
  or attribute meets criterion X.

Display with Respect To (since 4.0a 7)

• Keep a shape in center during playback.
• Edit other shapes as if DWRT shape was stable.

Enhanced User Controls (since 4.0ß 7)

• PowerPoint-style box editing
• Ctrl click resize about center
• Shift click proportional resize
• Can rotate about center with north handle

Show/Lock/Hide Controls (since 4.0ß 8)

• Locking keeps the spatial data visible, but
  doesnt allow editing.
• Propagate will only modify unlocked, visible data.

• Error logging (beta 1)
• Autosave (alpha 8)
• MPEG-2 decoding (alpha 5)
• Editing data for single frame images, importing
  directories of images as a single movie, and
  opening .bmp files all work now.
