• Ordinary Time (A)

• My need to love God, to love others and to love
  myself.

1st Reading

• God protects the weakest member of society the
  aliens, widow, orphan, poor, etc. God has a
  special love towards the helpless and
  oppressed. God is their strength, their refuge,
  their shield, their safety and stronghold.

2nd Reading

• St. Pauls life was so closely aligned with Gods
  ways, that is why he could say Be imitators of
  me and of the Lord. He was not boasting, he was
  telling the truth! And despite great trials, we
  must proclaim the Word of God at all times.

Gospel

• Today we hear Jesus summarized all the
  commandment very clearly
• Love God above everything!
• Love your neighbor as you love yourself. And
  these 3 cannot be separated.

Let us examine it closely

• Without love for neighbor, my faith is academic
  and sterile.
• Without love of God, we are mere social
  activists.
• How about love for oneself? (You might
  immediately answer Oh, of course, I love
  myself!!!! let us see)

Do you really love yourself?

• How much do you care for your soul, your
  salvation?
• How much do you deepen your spiritual life and
  relationship with God?
• How much effort do I make to be always in the
  grace of God so that my life might be a blessing
  to others?

• These are very vital questions.
• Sometimes, I am inclined to think that I must
  first really love myself in the truest and
  fullest sense of the word before I can love God
  and others
• Need I say more?
