License Cotos

• Libre Free waters that don't require a special
  permit.  
• Cotos Restricted waters that do require a
  permit (usually awarded through a lottery
  system).  Really geared toward the locals and
  long term resident types. 
• Intensivos Fisheries A permit for intensivos
  can by purchased in a local pub or a shop near
  the water (river or lake).

• Like everywhere, the river is divided in
  stretches of restricted access ("cotos"), free
  access stretches, (free for anglers bearing a
  license), and stretches where no fishing is
  allowed.
• There is one famous "coto" on the Irati. Getting
  a ticket without local acquaintances would be
  hopeless, however GourmetFly can usually cope
