- Get someone else to proof read
- Remember the Trustees often see only the
application form

sure you check thoroughly - What to attach to your application
- Get the application in on time

- What community need are you hoping to address?
- What are you asking for?
- Why do you need it?
- Who benefits?
- How do they benefit?
- What are the outcomes?
- How will you know you have been effective?
12When the letter arrives...
- Read the whole letter, dont stop at the dollars
- Say thank you
- Note accountability requirements
- Talk to the person who is spending the money
- Note time frames and ensure you carry funds into
new financial year if necessary
