Friction

• Cars slide on icy roads but not dry roads because
  of Friction
• Tight skiing clothes decrease the amount of
  friction
• We make things in special shapes to reduce the
  amount of Friction like skies

Newton's laws of Motion

• The 1st law- objects will continue moving unless
  force stops it.
• The 2nd law-force is equal to mass multiplied by
  acceleration.
• 3rd law- For every force there is an opposite or
  equal force.

Simple Machines

• A car is made of many simple machines
• A pulley is a simple machine that lets you use
  much less weight
• The wheel and axel move things in different
  directions
• These 2 machines make life easier

Lever

• It has 2 parts a bar and a fulcrum
• It changes the amount of force needed to lift
  something
• The wheelbarrow and the seesaw are good examples
  of different Levers

Inclined Plane

• It is a flat surface that is slanted one end down
  one end up
• Inclined planes are used for so many different
  things
• The doorstop and screw are inclined planes
• A ramp is another kind
