Title: No nada nada'

1
No nada nada.
  • How many negatives can you put in a sentence?

2
No nada nada.
  • Well, the truth is that there is really no limit
to the number of negative words . . . if one uses
    them correctly.

3
No nada nada.
  • Lets start with the basics
  • When saying no to a question, the No preceeds
any additional statements and is followed by a
    comma.
  • Por ejemplo ---- Vas a la fiesta?
  • ---- No, voy al partido de fútbol.

4
No nada nada.
  • Verbs are made negative by placing the word No
    before them.
  • The only thing that can go between a verb and the
no that makes it negative are the object
    pronouns
  • Por ejemplo No voy. No lo veo. No se lo doy.

5
No nada nada.
  • Lets start with the basics
  • We can do both of the above things at once.
  • Por ejemplo ---- Vas a la fiesta?
  • ---- No, no voy.

6
No nada nada.
  • But we have to be careful to follow both rules
    exactly
  • Consider ---- Ve tu familia mucho la tele?
  • ---- No, mi familia no ve mucho la tele.
  • or
  • ---- No, mi familia no la ve mucho.

7
No nada nada.
  • Next up
  • If a negative word other than no is used, it
can usually be placed before the verb.
  • Por ejemplo Nada tengo. (I dont have
    anything.)
  • A nadie escucha. (He doesnt listen to
    anyone.)
  • Nunca estudia. (She never studies.)

8
No nada nada.
  • But, it is common to place it after the verb and
put a no before the verb.
  • Por ejemplo No tengo nada. (I dont have
    anything.)
  • No escucha a nadie. (He doesnt listen to
    anyone.)
  • No estudia nunca. (She never studies.)

9
No nada nada.
  • So, our title says S(he) doesnt swim at all.
  • If it had been in answer to a question, we could
    have said
  • ---- Elena nada bien?
  • ---- No, no nada nada.
  • Fun, huh?

10
No nada nada.
  • Those are the basics!
  • There are several more rules. And it can get a
bit sticky for the new speaker. But the above
    guidelines will serve most instances.

11
No nada nada.
