    unemployed people
  • To place a group of trainees in one Work
    Integrated Learning (WIL) setting
  • To provide a healthy multicultural canteen
    service for a Primary School

WIL MODEL
  • DELIVER CERTIFICATE II IN HOSPITALITY IN THE
    CONTEXT OF PROVIDING A SCHOOL CANTEEN SERVICE
  • Trainees were enrolled at VU in Certificate II in
    Hospitality
  • Primary School accepted trainees on Practical
    Placement in the school canteen
  • Training Package units were mapped against the
    activities involved in operating the school
    canteen
  • VU trainer conducted all training and supervised
    and assessed trainees in school canteen
  • DELIVERY
  • One day a week in training kitchen
  • Two days a week in school canteen
  • Semester length course
