  • Farmers have organized to produce breeder,
    foundation and certified seed.
  • Government has made arrangements for training of
    farmers and District Agriculture Officer is the
    patron of the organization.
  • Mobile seed processing plant has been provided by
    DRDA.
  • Technical guidance by KVK and Rajendra
    Agriculture University
  • Government has taken land to formalized the Seed
    Grower Association under Co-operative.

  • An ambitious scheme of Makhana has been launched
    in Madhubani District under RSVY.
  • It is cultivated in about 13,000 hectares and
    Bihar contributes about 80 of the National

    addition.
  • Export to Arabian countries has started.
  • Contract farming has been started between farmers
    and Shakti Sudha.
