Use open coat garnet for sanding wood

Use a sanding block on all flat surfaces

Pull back top of block to insert paper

Press down to get nails through paper

Sand with the grain

Clamp parts in vice for sanding

Rotate parts in vice to sand all surfaces

Clamp hull in vice and put cabin parts on hull

Place cabin parts on hull

Test clamp w/roof

Apply wood glue to parts and assemble on hull

Apply glue to top of cabin walls and clamp roof on

Fit paddles together

Glue paddles with hot glue

Glue dowels into holes

• Glue before gluing cabin or after cabin is dry

Put glued boat into finishing room

Put glued boat on shelf in finishing room

• Let dry 24 hours

Get rubber band from instructor and assemble
paddles to boat
