  were abandoned and eventually torn down in 1861.

  hospital branch for Mission Dolores.

Three important dates

• 1 - On December 14,1817 Fray Sarria raised the
  cross and celebrated the first mass at Mission
  San Rafael.
• 2 - 1818 church added to one end of the original
  mission.
• 3 - 1855 6 1/2 acres of land returned to the
  Catholic church.

The daily lives of the people that lived at my
mission

• Each day, everyone at the mission, except the
  sick,woke up at dawn to go to mass. Afterward
  they ate breakfast. That was followed by morning
  chores.
