Title: I Corinthians 3:1012 NLT
1I Corinthians 310-12 (NLT) 10 Because of God's
special favor to me, I have laid the foundation
like an expert builder. Now others are building
on it. But whoever is building on this foundation
must be very careful.
211 For no one can lay any other foundation than
the one we already have--Jesus Christ. 12Now
anyone who builds on that foundation may use
gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.
3II Corinthians 517 (NLT) What this means is
that those who become Christians become new
persons. They are not the same anymore, for the
old life is gone. A new life has begun!
4Proverbs 1017 (Message) The road to life is a
disciplined life ignore correction and you're
lost for good.
5Proverbs 523 (Message) Death is the reward of an
undisciplined life your foolish decisions trap
you in a dead end.
6Psalms 3721 (NLT) The wicked borrow and never
repay, but the godly are generous givers.
7Psalms 3721-22 (Message) Wicked borrows and
never returns Righteous gives and gives.
Generous gets it all in the end Stingy is cut
off at the pass.
8Psalms 1124-5 (NLT) When darkness overtakes
the godly, light will come bursting in. They are
generous, compassionate, and righteous. 5 All
goes well for those who are generous, who lend
freely and conduct their business fairly.
9Proverbs 1124-25 (NLT) It is possible to give
freely and become more wealthy, but those who are
stingy will lose everything. 25 The generous
prosper and are satisfied those who refresh
others will themselves be refreshed.
10Matthew 621 (NLT) Wherever your treasure is,
there your heart and thoughts will also be.
11II Corinthians 81-3 (NLT) 1 Now I want to tell
you, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his
kindness has done for the churches in Macedonia.
2 Though they have been going through much
trouble and hard times, their
12wonderful joy and deep poverty have overflowed in
rich generosity. 3For I can testify that they
gave not only what they could afford but far
more. And they did it of their own free will.
134 They begged us again and again for the gracious
privilege of sharing in the gift for the
Christians in Jerusalem.
145 Best of all, they went beyond our highest
hopes, for their first action was to dedicate
themselves to the Lord and to us for whatever
directions God might give them.
159 You know how full of love and kindness our Lord
Jesus Christ was. Though he was very rich, yet
for your sakes he became poor, so that by his
poverty he could make you rich. 10 I suggest
that you finish what you started a year ago,
16for you were the first to propose this idea, and
you were the first to begin doing something about
it. 11 Now you should carry this project
through to completion just as enthusiastically as
you began it. Give whatever you can according to
what you have.
17Proverbs 227 (NLT) Just as the rich rule the
poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.
18I Corinthians 162 (NLT) 2 On every Lord's Day,
each of you should put aside some amount of money
in relation to what you have earned and save it
for this offering. Don't wait until I get there
and then try to collect it all at once.
19II Corinthians 96-7 (NLT) Remember this--a
farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a
small crop. But the one who plants generously
will get a generous crop. 7 You must each make up
your own mind as to how much you
20should give. Don't give reluctantly or in
response to pressure. For God loves the person
who gives cheerfully.
21(KJV) 7 Every man according as he purposeth in
his heart, so let him give not grudgingly, or of
necessity for God loveth a cheerful giver.
22Luke 1242-43 (NLT) 42 And the Lord replied, "I'm
talking to any faithful, sensible servant to whom
the master gives the responsibility of managing
his household and feeding his family. 43 If the
master returns and finds that the servant has
done a good job, there will be a reward.
