Title: THREE THINGS THE DEVIL DESIRES
1THREE THINGS THE DEVIL DESIRES

to fall victim to his craftiness. - Paul gives us a warning in 2 Cor.211
22 Cor.211
- Lest Satan should get an advantage of us for we
are not ignorant of his devices.
3THREE THINGS THE DEVIL DESIRES
- Those who do not take Satan seriously are doomed
to fall - Victim to his craftiness.
- Paul gives us a warning in 2 Cor.211
- The Devil never tires in his quest for souls. He
is never discouraged, and is unmerciful in his
attack. Job taught us this truth. - There is no co-existence with the Devil.
Anything that pleases him displeases God.
4THREE THINGS THE DEVIL DESIRES
- WHAT THE DEVIL DESIRES
- The three things in this lesson have to do with
the Church of our Lord. - Jesus knew that the Devil would try to keep
people out of the church. That is why he gave
Peter a promise - Matt. 1618

- And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church and
the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

7John 1720-21
- 20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them
also which shall believe on me through their
word 21That they all may be one as thou,
Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also
may be one in us that the world may believe that
thou hast sent me.

- The three things in this lesson have to do with
the Church of our Lord. - Jesus knew that the Devil would try to keep

- Paul wrote to the church in Corinth about this
problem. I Cor. 110-13
9I Cor. 110-13
- 10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same
thing, and that there be no divisions among you
but that ye be perfectly joined together in the
same mind and in the same judgment. 11For it hath
been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by
them which are of the house of Chloe, that there
are contentions among you. 12Now this I say, that
every one of you saith, I am of Paul and I of
Apollos and I of Cephas and I of Christ. 13Is
Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or
were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
10THREE THINGS THE DEVIL DESIRES
- WHAT THE DEVIL DESIRES (Contd)
- SATAN CAN GIVE YOU MANY REASONS TO STAY OUT OF
THE CHURCH. - He will suggest the church is not essential.
- You cannot afford the time, talent, money or
energy to be in the church. - You can't have any fun in the church.
- WHY WOULD THE DEVIL WANT YOU TO STAY OUT OF THE
CHURCH? - The answer is simple - all spiritual blessings
are in the church. Eph. 122-23
11Eph. 122-23
- 22And hath put all things under his feet, and
gave him to be the head over all things to the
church, 23Which is his body, the fulness of him
that filleth all in all.

- 4For verily, when we were with you, we told you
before that we should suffer tribulation even as
it came to pass, and ye know. 5For this cause,
when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know
your faith, lest by some means the tempter have
tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5And have tasted the good word of God, and the
powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall
away, to renew them again unto repentance seeing
they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh,
and put him to an open shame.

- 20For if after they have escaped the pollutions
of the world through the knowledge of the Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again
entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end
is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it
had been better for them not to have known the
way of righteousness, than, after they have known
it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered
unto them. 22But it is happened unto them
according to the true proverb, The dog is turned
to his own vomit again and the sow that was
washed to her wallowing in the mire.

brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill

and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the
simple.
