Benchmark

• EDUCATION Bachelors degree with some GIS
  courses (or equivalent)
• EXPERIENCE Four years in GIS application or
  data development (or equivalent)
• CONTRIBUTIONS Annual membership and modest
  participation in a GIS professional association
  (or equivalent)

Grandfathering Provision

• Available for Five Years (until 12/31/08)
• Minimum of 200 Experience Points
• To Qualify
• 8 years in data analysis, system design,
  programming, or similar OR
• 13.5 years in data compilation, teaching, or
  similar OR
• 20 years in a GIS user position OR
• A combination of the above that results in 200
  points
