Visual Impairment

• The eyes are two special organs that let you see
  light color and everything around you.
• The eye is made up of the cornea, iris, lens and
  retina.
• Visual impairment happens when one or more of
  these parts doesnt function correctly.

• Large print ( tests books notes )
• Books on tape
• Magnifiers
• Test proctors
• Note takers
• Teacher giving notes that will be on the board or
  over head ahead of time

• More of teachers time is spent with special
  needs student
• More attention is given to the student with
  special needs
• Lack of funding for needed materials

• Aide shortage
